Thai Food Festival to take over Chavasse Park

Chavasse Park in Liverpool ONE will welcome a Thai Food Festival to celebrate Thai New Year on 12 April.

The free festival will include pop-up stalls offering tastes of traditional Thai food, cocktail masterclasses and ‘mocktails’ for children. The team behind the popular restaurant will host the festival on 12pm to 4pm on Sunday 12 April on top of Liverpool ONE, in conjunction with Thai Children’s Trust and the Liverpool ONE Foundation.

The festival falls a day before Thai New Year 2015, or Songkran Festival, where Thai people sprinkle water on their family members for good luck, as well as pay their respects to Buddha.

The Liverpool Thai Food Festival has been created by Chavasse Park eatery Chaophraya to raise funds for disadvantaged and disabled children in Thailand. Prior to the event, Organisers are asking for ‘pencil case’ donations ahead of the event to be filled with gifts and educational supplies. The gifts will be sent to charities in Thailand to help disadvantaged children in the country.
