Allerton Road will be transformed into a festival site with go karts, an inflatable Subbuteo pitch and a farmers market on 18 April.
The Love Allerton Road weekend returns with family activities including a reading session for children by The Reader Organisation, a penalty shootout-style inflatable game on Garthdale Road, a barbershop chorus, food and drink tasking in nearby shops and a go kart track.
A farmers market will support the event, which aims to showcase the businesses located along the South Liverpool road.
Councillor Erica Kemp says: “This event has been hugely popular in the past and I hope that a combination of sunshine and family fun will encourage lots of local residents to come and support these fantastic business right on their doorstep.
“With lots going on for children and adults there is sure to be something for everyone, this is a great opportunity to come and see what’s on offer in your local area.”
The team behind the event has promised more activities to be announced in the next few days, before the event kicks off on 18 April. The event runs at 9am until 3am, with performances from the 20-strong barbershop chorus at 12.30pm and 1.10pm.
