Brazilica Festival 2015 will include graffiti exhibition and film festival

A film festival, graffiti art exhibition and a carnival parade will take place in Liverpool to celebrate the annual Brazilica festival.

Brazilica 2015 will take place on 18 July when a carnival parade will take place through Liverpool city centre from 8pm. Featuring Brazilian dancers and music, the free event will be a colourful celebration of South American culture.

A series of fringe events will also take place to mark the festival including a Graffiti Art Exhibition at FACT between 1-19 July, a carnival ball at Garlands nightclub on 11 July and a film festival featuring screenings in The Brink, A Small Cinema, Old Edge Hill Library, FACT, Museum of Liverpool and the Bombed Out Church.

Festival organisers will announce a series of fee music events in the coming weeks, while the full parade route for 18 July will be announced soon, according to organisers.

Other highlights of the festival include talks with Brazilian film star Carmen Miranda at the Museum of Liverpool on 11 July and a parade after party at District in the Baltic Triangle.
