A Jamaica Street Party will return to Liverpool in June with a new venue in the city’s Baltic Triangle.

Positive Vibrations Vol.3 by Rebel Soul will host a family-friendly, 12-hour party celebrating all things Jamaica in Constellations Garden and Club, with reggae music, Caribbean street food, a record fair, pop-up market and arts and crafts workshops. The event, which takes place in 13 June, is the third time the event has taken place in the city.

Rory Taylor from Rebel Soul, says: “We were at Kazimier last year and this year we’re taking over Constellations.

“A lot of people seem to love reggae bands in Liverpool. The event is for those who love reggae and those who just love good vibes but might not know a lot about it, and it is an event for all of the family. It will be a really good event – we’ve got ten bands on, local dub poet Levi Tafari will be performing and there will be Caribbean-themed food.”

Bands include ska/dub headliner King Porter Stomp, Cut Capers, Bolshy, Jeramiah Ferrari, Samsara, Kayanites, Conscious Youth, Miserable Man, Komodo and Schmame Industries.

The event also includes face painting, a vinyl record fair and a “Jamdown Market” and begins at 2pm, with DJs and live music running until 2am. Tickets are £12 on the door and children’s under 12 tickets are free. For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/events/1563508200594601/.
