Spiritualized will headline Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia 2015, as tickets go on sale for the award-winning event on 25 and 26 September.

The British space-psych pioneers are the first act confirmed as headliner for the festival, which will take place in the Baltic Triangle area of the city. The performance will coincide with the band’s eight LP later this year.

The festival site includes warehouses in Camp and Furnace, the Blade Factory and, for the first time, District. Other artists confirmed for the festival include a collaboration between Brooklyn’s Sacred Bones Records and Santigo, Chile’s BYM Records.

Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia was named Best Small Festival at the NME Awards, ahead of more established festivals, earlier this month. The festival was launched in 2012 and describes itself as: “a pan-continental celebration of audio-futurists, operating at the bleeding edge of today’s psychedelic renaissance”.
