A ‘gaming and grill’ festival will take place in Liverpool, after organisers confirmed the event would expand out of Manchester.
The iPlayGaming Festival features computer game demonstrations and tournaments for games from the past 30 years including the popular FIFA football series, Mario Kart and Call of Duty. The festival also includes food and drink including hot dogs and burgers and has enjoyed sell-out success in Manchester.
Organisers of the festival, which was hosted in Gorilla in Manchester earlier this summer, have confirmed another festival will take place in the city before expansion to an unnamed Liverpool destination this year.
When it arrives in the city, the festival will host a range of classic games consoles and tournaments and multiplayer games including classics such as Mortal Kombat, Goldeneye and Tekken, as well as more modern games such as Fifa 2015, Call of Duty and Halo.
The festival also boasts classic arcade machines and food from a grill. The brand’s website says: “Check out our themed gaming areas and get involved in one on one play, team games or show off your skills by competing in one of our tournaments. Take time out to sample freshly prepped food and enjoy a few drinks at the fully stocked bar.
“iPlayGaming is your new excuse to socialise, share gaming and showcase your skills. Get your mates together and we’ll see you there!”
