Bar, restaurant and music venue operator Mission Mars has revealed plans for a new food and drink concept on Hanover Street.
The firm purchased The Hub Alehouse & Kitchen restaurant, in the street’s Grade II-listed Casartelli Building earlier this year and is lining up Bavarian-style Albert’s Schenke for the site.
Scheduled to open this summer, the venue will bring a ‘Bier Halle and Cook Haus’ with more than 20 biers on tap and a food menu inspired by dishes served across alpine Europe.
A spokesperson for Mission Mars, which is behind Albert’s Schloss and Gorilla in Manchester as well as Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza, says visitors can expect dishes including schnitzels and sausage and the ‘Raclette Burger’ with melting Swiss cheese alongside pilsners, Weiss biers and special edition Oktoberfest drinks.
The spokesperson adds: “The interiors for this landmark venue will offer Bier Halle luxe; a warm, welcoming and rustic atmosphere, complete with reclaimed wood and roaring fires, complementing the building’s original features.”
