Best for Bubble Tea in Liverpool

Liverpool has always been a city to experience new things and new cultures, and bubble tea is no exception. Originally an iced tea drink from Taiwan with little tapioca balls, its popularity has sky-rocketed in recent years in America and Australia. Now, it is making its way across the pond and to our fair city, so here are the top 3 places to try it in the area!

Mooboo, Wall Street L1

London-based brand Mooboo opened their bubble tea offering in Liverpool ONE last year and have quickly become one of Liverpool’s most popular bubble tea bars. They offer delicious drinks and desserts, as well as brilliant service. For fans of lychee, the lychee black tea is really tasty.

Café De Pearl. Bold Street L2

This quiet, unassuming café on Bold Street may not look like much on the outside, but on the inside, the food and bubble tea offering is pretty amazing. The menu is reasonably priced too and friendly for lots of different budgets. If you want a burst of flavour, order the orange syrup with mango balls.

Food Express, 29 Prescott Street, Liverpool, L7

Food Express is a restaurant and takeaway which specialises in Asian cuisine. Word of mouth is that the Singapore vermicelli is excellent and perfect to enjoy alongside one of their bubble teas. Almond is a popular option, alongside the Japanese Matcha milk, a powdered green tea full of anti-oxidants.

Boba Mix Bubble Tea

Not a venue as such, you can pick up home bubble tea kits made by this local company across the city. Having recently launched at the Rex Concept store, the independent retailer is physically available in the city but can also be found online at bespoke hub Etsy and on its website.
