Call for young performers to audition for Oliver!

Talented young performers could star on The Epstein Theatre stage this year as auditions take place in Liverpool.

LHK Youth Theatre is searching for cast members to appear in its forthcoming production of the classic musical ‘Oliver!’.

The play tells the story of the orphan Oliver Twist, who escapes an apprenticeship with an undertaker and travels to London, where he meets the Artful Dodger and becomes a member of a gang of juvenile pickpockets led by the elderly criminal Fagin.

Boys and girls aged between seven and 18 who can sing, dance and act are being invited to try for roles in the play at 12pm on 6 March, with beginners and advanced performers welcome.

Producers are particularly looking for strong vocalists for singing roles in the show, which will hit the stage in November.

Lee Kelly, who established LHK Youth Theatre 10 years ago, says: “Each year we reach out across the region to discover exceptional new talent. Our training is based on the basic principal that the best place for young people to learn about the performing arts is on stage in front of a live audience.

“We provide a platform for young talent to be showcased on a regional, national and international stage in iconic theatres throughout the UK and beyond.”
