The celebrated graphic novel artist and writer Dave Gibbons has been announced for WoWFest 2016.
Best known for his collaborations with Alan Moore on famous titles such as Watchmen and the Superman story ‘For the Man Who Has Everything’, Dave will be discussing creative techniques and his career to date.
Regarded as one of the industry’s most talented artists, Dave has created numerous famous characters such as American Belle, Green Man, Rorschach and Nite Owl. He has also contributed to a multitude of comic books and graphical novels including Doctor Who, 2000AD, Batman and Green Lantern.
More recently, Dave has been involved with graphic novel Kingman: The Secret Service which became a major feature film, and Masks with Gillian Flynn, author of the bestselling book Gone Girl.
Now into its 16th year, WoWFest is the longest running literature festival in Liverpool and will this year feature 35 events throughout May, welcoming a host of local, national and international writers to the city. WoWFest 2016 will explore the future, past and present through sci-fi, super heroes, graphic novels and comic books.
