City’s first Gaming and Grill Festival lined up for March

Liverpool’s first ‘Gaming and Grill Festival’ will take place on 5 March it has been announced.

Last year it emerged that organiser iPlayGaming was planning to bring the event to the city having already achieved success in Manchester, and now it has been scheduled to be held at Constellations.

The 7pm-1am event will fill the Baltic Triangle venue’s Observatory space with gaming consoles from the past 30 years, complete with allowing open play, fun tournaments and retro and arcade games.

Meanwhile gamers can battle it out on a big screen with commentary from comedian Danny McLoughlin, along with official competitions, grilled food and a bar.

Liverpool is one of 15 cities iPlayGaming will be bringing its festival to between March to November this year.

The tour of the event follows the inaugural festival at Manchester’s Gorilla Club last June, which was organised by gaming enthusiast Michael Davies and socialite Charlotte Stockton after they felt the social interaction of gaming together was now missing.
