A pair of significant apartment schemes could be given the go-ahead at a Liverpool City Council planning meeting today (9 August).

The committee will discuss plans to build more than 250 apartments next to The Keel development at Queens Dock as well as proposals to erect 69 flats on Duke Street.

Glenbrook Property and Moorfield, the same team behind The Keel scheme, have tabled plans to build on vacant land located to the east of the waterfront development.

The proposal, designed by architects Brock Carmichael, includes 257 apartments in total alongside residential amenity space, servicing, landscaping, car parking and associated works.

Revised plans for a 69 apartment scheme on Duke Street will also be debated by the committee.

The proposal, by Lady Mia Limited, includes the demolition of 65 Duke Street with the retention of the current façade and the erection of a three to seven-storey building with a central courtyard and a self-contained retail unit on the ground floor.

The planning meeting will take place this morning at Liverpool Town Hall.
