Details of Liverpool’s two fireworks displays have been announced by the city council.
The free illuminations get underway at 7.30pm in Sefton Park and Newsham Park on 5 November , synchronised to a soundtrack of popular music. Both displays will last for approximately 20 minutes.
The playlist at both sites will include ‘Uptown Funk’ by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars, alongside children’s favourite ‘Let It Go’, the new James Bond theme ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ by Sam Smith and the timeless classic ‘When I Fall In Love’ by Nat King Cole.
Liverpool’s assistant mayor, Councillor Wendy Simon, says: “These displays have become a staple of resident’s events calendars, and it feels like we step up the spectacular each year.
“Last year, more than 40,000 people enjoyed both sets of fireworks, and we had a fantastic reaction not only to the visual feast, but also to the accompanying soundtrack.
“We wanted to build on this for 2015 and the team have come up with a great up-lifting set list which will really add to the atmosphere.”
Heart North West presenters Joel Ross & Lorna Bancroft will be hosting the Sefton Park display with Heart Angels taking charge in Newsham Park.
All visitors are encouraged to give themselves plenty of time to travel to both events. Please note that there is limited parking at Croxteth Drive, Sefton Park and Gardners Drive at Newsham Park.
Event organisers have also requested that those attending the events do not bring their own fireworks, sparklers or Chinese lanterns.
