Diablos Liverpool gets new name as work begins again on delayed bar

Diablos Bar on Berry Street will open in April, but a new name is planned for the venue after the owners admitted ‘problems’ have delayed its launch.

Originally set for a November launch, the American-themed venue claimed it would have Europe’s first ‘flaming bar’. However, those plans have now been dropped and a new name will be announced, as the venue looks to get back on track with sport, American-style food, pool and cocktails.

The bar’s social media accounts say it had encountered ‘loads of problems’ but work will begin again today on the venue. While the name will change the concept of the original bar remains the same.

A tweet sent from the bar’s account says: “Who’s looking forward to us opening again! Had loads of problems but were back on track and we’re changing our name, but same concept!”

Inspired by the US, the new-look Diablos will feature 28 HD TVs, a 10ft screen and surround sound showing sport. It will also include food challenges and a Hall of Fame for those who complete them.

Events at the bar, which says it will offer American-style food, bourbon and sport including pool tables, will also host Prosecco Thursdays and an event called ‘fire Fridays’.

Diablos is located on Berry Street, which has recently seen the launch of Red Door Liverpool, a cocktail bar and event venue across four floors.
