UK grime and hip-hop artist Dizzee Rascal will perform at this year’s We Luv Festival, organisers have announced.

Taking place at Aintree Racecourse over May Bank Holiday weekend, Dizzee will join a whole host of acts including Scouting for Girls, Example, Sugar Hill Gang and Fatman Scoop.

The multi-award winning star is set to perform his best-known hits on the festival’s main stage including ‘Bonkers’, ‘Holiday’ and ‘Dance Wiv Me’.

Other acts added to the roster are this year’s X-Factor finalists including winner Louisa Johnson. The new additions to the line-up mean over 60 artists are set to perform at what organisers are describing as the ‘largest music festival staged in the North West’.

Over 80,000 guests are expected at the family-focused festival at Aintree, which will also include a food festival and fairground and fun area.

Younger guests can enjoy interactive sports activities, face painting, stilt walkers, inflatables and Punch and Judy shows.

A Liverpool stage will also feature at the event and showcase special performances from various local talent, with the full line-up to be announced shortly.

Other artists already confirmed for the event include UB40, Arrested Development, Radio Riddler, Alexander O’Neal, DJ Fresh and Ocean Colour Scene.
