Are your little ones budding scientists? Fancy doing something a little different with them this summer? This hugely popular club gives youngsters the chance to try out experiments and learn how cool science can be.
The sessions are free to attend but booking is required.
The Tiger Who Came to Tea
2-3 August | Floral Pavilion
After a smash hit run in the West End, David Wood’s musical adaptation of the Judith Kerr book ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ comes to the Floral Pavilion. Follow the story of Sophie and her mummy who are in for quite the shock when an unexpected, stripey guest turns up for tea.
Tickets £14 each or £48 for a family of four.
Paw Patrol Live: Race to the Rescue
16-17 August | Echo Arena Liverpool
Paw Patrol is on a roll! Join Chase, Rocky, Ryder and the team for this action packed musical adventure that will delight your little paw patrollers. The show, presented by Life Like Touring, VStar Entertainment Group and Nickelodeon, sees the pups come to the rescue when Mayor Goodway goes missing on the day of the Great Adventure Bay Race.
Tickets from £18.50 or £99 for a family of four.
KidsFest
20 August | Stanley Park
The festival that was launched in memory of Liverpool toddler James Bulger offers a free afternoon packed full of family fun. This year’s array of attractions includes live entertainment, stalls, fairground rides, a zip wire, soft play, ‘have a go’ martial arts sessions and more. Merseyside Fire and Rescue will also be among the organisations in attendance as it invites visitors to learn about its fire engine.
Pirates on the Dock
16-17 September | Albert Dock
Calling all budding mermaids and pirates! This year’s Pirates on the Dock festival will once again feature a fantastic parade, inspired by the Coney Island Mermaid Parade in America, giving your little ones the chance to don their eyepatches and fish tails to march around the historic dock.
The event is free and individuals can just turn up and join the parade on the day. Groups need to book ahead.

DreamWorks’ ‘Home’ screening
23 September | Maritime Museum
Follow the story of lovable Oh who lands on earth and forms a friendship with the adventurous Tip in this family favourite, ‘Home’. With a voice cast including Jim Parsons and Rihanna, the DreamWorks film is bound to be an instant hit with your little ones.
The screening is free and starts at 11am.
