What the residents say
I’ve live in a cottage in the middle of the village and I’ve lived in West Derby for about forty years. It’s a great area; the park, the pubs and the people are three good reasons to live here.
I’ve lived in West Derby all my life. Croxteth Park is great and a lot of my friends still live round here. I like that it’s close to Liverpool, and the area has good schools too. I can’t think of any improvements for the area, except maybe more parks and areas for the children.
I live in a semi-detached house with my daughter. The bus routes are great to and from the village, so it’s easy to travel if you don’t have a car like I do. I also love Croxteth Park and enjoy walking my dog there.
West Derby is a great friendly and family area. I’ve lived here for about 45 years and it’s a really nice place to be.
There is very much a community feel to living in West Derby Village, which is what I enjoy about the place. All that needs to change about the area is there needs to be less betting shops.
