SAL Group has been confirmed as the sponsor of the new ‘Building Contractor of the Year’ category at the YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards 2026.

Liverpool-based SAL is a specialist construction and contracting company working across the UK in the residential, student accommodation, healthcare, education, commercial and leisure sectors.

The group comprises several specialist divisions, including SAL Construction, SAL Joinery and SAL Ceilings & Partitions (SAL CAPS), providing services spanning joinery, drylining, suspended ceilings, steel frame systems, plastering, fire protection and refurbishment works.

In recent years, SAL has worked on a wide range of major developments across Liverpool and the North West, including residential schemes, hotels, student accommodation and commercial projects. The company operates from offices in Liverpool and Prescot and works with a number of leading regional and national contractors.

The all-new ‘Building Contractor of the Year’ category will honour a Liverpool City Region contractor delivering high-quality construction work with reliability, technical expertise and outstanding execution.

Gerry White, head of operations at SAL Group, says: “SAL Group is delighted to sponsor such a prestigious category within our industry. The work YM Liverpool and its awards do to raise the profile of local businesses is fantastic, and SAL is happy to help with that.”
