Work is due to get underway this week on a new indoor go-karting track for Liverpool, the team behind the attraction has announced.

Earlier this year TeamSport, which has tracks across the UK including a North West venue in Warrington, revealed it was looking to launch a new venue in the city.

With a planning application submitted to bring the new facility a step closer at the firm’s chosen North Harrington Building site on Sefton Street, a proposed café, bar and lounge room for spectators and customers to enjoy once they have raced is also lined up to feature alongside the track, along with a 78-car capacity car park.

A TeamSport spokesperson has confirmed that work will commence this week to create the attraction, and while its specific opening date is yet to be confirmed the plans are still on schedule for a December opening.
