Redwing returns as YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards sponsor

Redwing will continue its sponsorship of the ‘Emerging Property Developer of the Year’ category at November’s YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards.

Part of The Regenda Group, Redwing began life in 1963 as ‘Maritime’ and was heavily involved with the revitalisation of Liverpool city centre. The company led on the redevelopment of Dukes Terraces, the last back-to-back mercantile housing in Liverpool, as well as prominent schemes such as The Foundry and Arts Village.

Maritime became Redwing in 2015 and now manages more than 2,000 properties across the Liverpool City Region. The company has a particular focus on bringing new build-to-rent developments to market and providing ongoing block management, supporting registered providers with their resale portfolios, and helping people access affordable routes to homeownership through products such as Shared Ownership and Rent to Buy.

Alex Andani (pictured), executive director of property at Redwing & The Regenda Group, says: “Liverpool has always been a city that embraces change and regeneration, and emerging property developers have an important role to play in that.

“New voices bring fresh thinking, different ideas and new expertise to the sector, all of which are important as we look at housing and communities across the city.

“The YM Liverpool awards are a great opportunity to recognise new property developers and the impact they’re already making, as well as celebrating the people and projects that have shaped another busy year for Liverpool’s property sector.

“We’re proud to support the Emerging Property Developer of the Year category again and wish all this year’s nominees the best of luck.”

The YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards 2026 will take place at the Titanic Hotel Liverpool on Wednesday 25 November, bringing together representatives from across the Liverpool City Region’s property and business communities to celebrate another year of achievement.

Accolades will be handed out across a wide range of categories, including ‘Property Developer of the Year’, ‘Housebuilder of the Year’, ‘Apartment Development of the Year’, ‘Residential Property Agency of the Year’, ‘Property Management Company of the Year’, ‘Property Industry Supplier of the Year’, ‘Liverpool City Region Business of the Year’ and ‘City Region Champion’.

This year’s awards will also feature a number of new and expanded categories, reflecting the breadth of the region’s property sector and the businesses and professionals supporting its continued growth.

During November’s ceremony, Jonathan Falkingham of Urban Splash will join YM Liverpool editor and awards organiser Lawrence Saunders for a special on-stage Q&A. The conversation will reflect on his career in property and regeneration, Urban Splash’s work in Liverpool and beyond, the company’s involvement in the regeneration of Festival Gardens, and the wider opportunities and challenges facing development across the city region.
