Liverpool property management firm reveals major expansion plans

Liverpool property management company Urban Evolution is set to expand its operations by 35% in 2025 – representing an investment of £1.5 million in the business.

Currently managing close to 10,000 units across block and lettings, the firm operates throughout the UK in Luton, Sheffield, Nottingham, Newcastle, and here in Liverpool, where its headquarters is based.

Urban Evolution’s growth strategy includes the hiring of 40 new staff members, adding to its current 100-strong team. The company is also extending its reach and introducing new services in additional locations.

News of the company’s expansion plans comes on the back of it taking over managment of Alexandra Tower in April 2024. The building on Princes Parade had been plagued with issues, including legal disputes with residents and safety concerns surrounding its external cladding. Urban Evolution engaged specialist surveyors to carry out a full assessment of the tower’s structure, including the cladding. All legal actions have since been halted, with a project team appointed to undertake further extensive repair works this summer.

Michael Shields, director of facilities management at Urban Evolution, says: “The transformation at Alexandra Tower has been remarkable. When we took on the project, the building was in a state of disrepair, and residents were understandably frustrated.

“But through swift action, transparent communication, and a commitment to resolving the issues, we’ve been able to make substantial progress. Our work there has not only improved the building’s condition but has also restored trust with the residents, who are now regularly praising the improvements we’ve made.

On the company’s expansion plans, Michael adds: “Our growth plans are bold, but they reflect the demand we’re seeing in the market for a more integrated, customer-focused approach to property management.

“By expanding our presence by 35% in 2025, we’re setting out to become the number one property management company in the region. We’re not just about increasing our footprint; we want to continue improving the quality of service we provide to our clients, and most importantly, the satisfaction of the residents we manage properties for.”
