A vacant plot of land next to Tobacco Wharf in North Liverpool could become home to up to 110 new apartments.
Outline planning permission is being sought to develop residential buildings of up to seven stories in height at the Commercial Road site.
An application has been submitted to Liverpool City Council on behalf of Trophy Homes Ltd for the project, which would also see new access created for the site.
If approved, two linked blocks of accommodation would occupy the land – one four-storey building and one seven-storey building – and homes would be accompanied by secure undercroft parking.
Snow Architects has been working on the design for the project, and says the proposal is to create a “distinctive, safe and pleasant, welcoming, adaptable, efficient residential complex”.
A document put forward to the local authority adds: “The proposed site is currently vacant land following the demolition of the previous warehouse.
“The current proposed development is intended to fill the void that has been left, with an aesthetically pleasing design that complements the surrounding area.”
