Peel Waters appoints Graham + Sibbald as agents for Central Docks retail & leisure space

Peel Waters has appointed property consultancy Graham + Sibbald as the retained commercial agents for the future retail, F&B and amenity offer at Central Docks, Liverpool Waters.

The appointment comes as infrastructure works progress on site, backed by £81.1 million in funding through a partnership between Peel and Homes England.

The works are intended to support the delivery of around 2,350 homes, with a further 600 planned, alongside public spaces, walking and cycling routes, and the proposed five-acre Central Park.

Graham + Sibbald will initially focus on bringing forward a convenience food store and a café or restaurant unit within Central Park. The operator for the park unit is expected to be an independent brand.

These units form part of the wider development of Central Docks, aimed at providing services for residents and visitors as the area grows, including in connection with nearby commercial space, tourism activity and the new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Liza Marco, senior asset manager, Liverpool Waters, says: “The appointment of Graham + Sibbald is another important milestone for Central Docks as we transition from infrastructure delivery to bringing real, tangible amenities forward for our growing community.

“With significant progress being made on site, momentum is building quickly, and securing best-in-class retail partners will be crucial in creating a thriving, liveable neighbourhood. Graham + Sibbald bring the expertise, connections and energy needed to curate a strong mix of operators that will support residents and help Central Docks flourish.”

Conor Mulloy, director, commercial agency, Graham + Sibbald, adds: “Central Docks represents an exceptionally exciting opportunity, not just for operators, but for Liverpool as a whole.

“With thousands of new homes, major visitor attractions, external seating opportunities and a new public park coming forward, this waterfront neighbourhood will attract high-quality, well-located amenities and exciting leisure operators from day one.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Peel Waters to bring the first convenience retail and independent café/restaurant offerings to market, and to help shape what will become one of Liverpool’s most dynamic new destinations.”
