Plans to build a new apartment complex in Liverpool Waters have been revealed.

Australian property developer Greg Malouf is behind the proposals which could see 237 apartments created at the waterfront regeneration scheme.

The plans, which have been submitted to Liverpool City Council, comprise of a part 14-storey and part 8-storey block with commercial space on the ground floor.

The development would also include 51 parking spaces and 120 cycle parking spaces.

Applicant Mr Malouf is also behind a significant student development opposite Liverpool John Moores University’s Byrom Street campus.

The 350,000 sq ft project was awarded planning permission last April and includes 1,019 student flats.

Designed by Falconer Chester Hall, the Bevington Bush scheme is spread over three buildings and will also include a gym, bar, shop, private cinema and yoga retreat garden.

According to his social media biography, Mr Malouf has been in the property business for over 30 years and has “bought, sold, built, subdivided and developed everything from apartments to multi-storey buildings and sprawling shopping centres”.
