It’s more expensive than ever to buy your first home in Liverpool, according to new data.
The average price of a first-time buyer property in the city was £106,713 in June, up more than £10,000 since records began in 2012.
In February 2012, when the UK House Price Index (HPI) started including the price of first-time buyer homes, the average price of a first-time buyer home in Liverpool was just £91,407.
However, the price of buying your first home in the area is still considerably cheaper than the national average which sits at around £170,000.
Meanwhile, the overall average price of a home in the region in June was £119,932, a year-on-year increase of almost 4%.
When it comes to house types, the average price of a detached property in Liverpool was £223,163 in June with semi-detached and terraced home costing on average £142,840 and £103,265 respectively.
