Rangers sign Liverpool health firm to test Steven Gerrard & squad for COVID-19

Scottish Premiership champions Rangers have welcomed DAM Health as the club’s official COVID-19 testing partner.

DAM Health, which started on Merseyside but now operates testing sites across the UK and Europe, will provide Rangers with a range of different coronavirus testing solutions – including for staff and players at the club.

James Bisgrove, Rangers’ director of commercial and marketing, says: “We are delighted to join forces with DAM Health and welcome them on board as an Associate Partner as we move into our 150th anniversary season.

“As Rangers move forward from global pandemic and international travel returns, DAM Health will be providing services and crucial support on several fronts. We look forward to working closely with the team and activating their partnership during next season and beyond.”

DAM Health is one of the leading providers of COVID-19 testing in the UK and its branding will now be present on the mid-tier LED system at Ibrox Stadium.

The company provides a range of different COVID-19 testing solutions, such as its ‘Fit To Fly’ test and Lateral Flow Antigen testing.

Professor Frank Joseph, DAM Health’s medical director, adds: “We are thrilled and honoured to be working with the historic and prestigious football club, Rangers, and look forward to developing a thriving relationship with them while also making a difference.

“At DAM Health we have a range of testing methods and we are also talking to other sports clubs about providing COVID-19 testing solutions.

“I am confident that this will all help contribute to a very positive future for our society.”

Meanwhile, following an urgent appeal from the Hope Foundation – an international charity which works with children in Kolkata, DAM Health has stepped up to help.

The company has sent vital air conditioning equipment plus Covid-safe protective kits including masks and sanitisers, while also donating large sums to help fund ventilators in hospitals in the region.
