Plans in for redevelopment of Everton’s Goodison Park stadium

The consortium behind Everton FC’s new Bramley Moore Dock stadium has submitted an outline planning application to redevelop the club’s historic Goodison Park home.

Under the plans, EFC’s home since 1892 will be demolished and replaced with a vast mixed-use scheme featuring new homes, offices, restaurants, bars, retail space and a 74,000 sq ft arts and enterprise centre.

The Goodison Park Legacy Project has been designed by Condy Lofthouse Architects, which delivered a number of new build and refurbishment projects for EFC’s Everton in the Community charity.

A document included with the application says: “The redevelopment proposals have been subject to a thorough and careful design process with extensive consultation.

“The proposal aims to reflect the legacy of Everton Football Club and the history of the site. Goodison Park is an established ‘place’, people know its location and its past and the design should continue this relationship with Everton supporters and the people of Liverpool and to the benefit of the new occupants of the site.”
