Six best places to see Santa this Christmas

It’s December! That means even the biggest grinches amongst us have to relent and accept it’s time to get festive. And nothing spells Christmas like a trip to see the big man himself.

If you’re trying to decide where’s best to take your little ones so that they can reel off their Christmas lists and tell little white lies about how good they’ve been this year then worry not. We’ve scoured the city and come up with our rundown of the six best places to see St Nick for Christmas 2016.

Farmer Christmas,

Farmer Ted’s, Worrall House Farm, Downholland

Visit Santa’s workshop, take a trip to Elf School and the 4D cinema before hopping on board Santa’s Tractor with your boarding card and heading to the Magical Winter Wonderland.

Tickets are £13.95 for children, £8.75 for adults and £6.75 for under ones.

 

Santa’s Magical Grotto

Liverpool Town Hall, High Street

When Santa leaves the North Pole it’s only fitting that he’ll go somewhere equally as grand and where grander than the Town Hall? The traditional grotto will see little ones met by Santa’s elves before meeting Santa Claus in the Crypt.

Tickets are £7.50 per child and include entry for two accompanying adults.

 

Lewis’s Christmas Grotto

Rapid, Basnett Street

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Lewis’s Christmas Grotto and while the iconic store may not be open anymore, its grotto is still going strong. Relocated to Rapid Discount Store, take a walk through the magical wonderland before you reach Father Christmas in his cosy grotto.

Tickets are £7.50 for children and £1 for all other visitors.

 

The Santa Experience

Church Farm, Thurstaston

A gorgeous experience for all the family, take a tractor ride to the magical forest where you’ll be met by the North Pole postman, Mr Jingles who’ll guide you to Santa’s toy workshop. Have a dance with Frosty the Snowman, say hello to Rudolf and chat with Santa. There’s also mulled wine and mince pies for the adults.

Tickets £10 – £13 depending on date.

 

Underwater Street

The Cunard Building, Water Street

If your kids are fans of crafts then they’re sure to love the Christmas fun on offer at Underwater Street. As well as getting the chance to visit Santa there is cookie decorating, Christmas bauble making and magic reindeer food to create.

Admission for kids over 2 is £11.95, or £15.95 with a visit to the grotto. For one year olds it’s £6.95 for admission only, £10.95 with a visit to the grotto. Adults pay £2.95.

 

Sing along with Santa

Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Hope Street

If you’re not sure your little angels will be appreciate a personal visit to Santa, how about taking them to a raucous sing along where they can see the man in red while singing and shouting along to some festive favourites.
