A new apartment complex on Liverpool’s historic waterfront will play a significant role in the regeneration of the area, according to the building’s developers.
Patten Properties and Panacea Property Development hailed their private rented sector (PRS) development The Strand as an “exciting” addition to the city after the scheme was granted planning permission.
Neil Patten, the joint venture’s managing director, says: “We’ve worked very closely with the council to ensure that our approach to planning approach for this important scheme was in line with their own aspirations for the site and the wider area.
“We recognise that the scheme will play a significant role in the regeneration of Liverpool’s historic waterfront and the local economy. We can now look forward to working hard to deliver this exciting PRS development for the city.”
The Strand will house 382 apartments across 16 storeys and also include a private gym, cinema and gardens as well as offering views of the Pier Head, Albert Dock and the wider city centre to the rear.
The development is said to have been designed “sensitively” to complement the surrounding waterfront structures and landmarks, including Mann Island, the Three Graces and One Park West.
