Housebuilder pledges donation to MND Association for every Widnes home completed

Prospect Homes has announced a new charitable commitment that will see £250 donated to the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association for every home completed at its Widnes development.

The initiative at Abbey Vale will support the charity’s work to improve care and provide practical assistance to people living with MND and their families.

The housebuilder chose the MND Association as it’s charity of the year in 2025 and extended support until December 2026. It has also sponsored Pete Collins, MND corporate development manager, who will be climbing Everest this year.

Nia O’Sullivan, head of sales and customer care at Prospect Homes, says: “Supporting the MND Association is incredibly important to our team as some have been directly affected by this disease so we’re proud to make this commitment at Abbey Vale.

“Every completed home represents a fresh start for our buyers, and now it also represents meaningful support for families affected by Motor Neurone Disease. We hope our donations help the charity continue its vital work across care, research and advocacy.”

Pete Collins, corporate development manager at the MND Association, adds: “We are proud of our partnership with Prospect Homes – a partnership which has already made a real difference to people with MND and their families.

“The money donated from the sale completions at the Abbey Vale Development will allow the Association to reach more people living with MND, while also funding important research into potential new treatments. Together, we can make Every Day Matter for people living with and affected by MND.”

Homes at Abbey Vale currently start from £325,000. The development is within easy reach of local shops, restaurants and schools, while transport links provide convenient access to Liverpool, Warrington and the wider region.
