Liverpool-based virtual event production company Virtuopo has launched a new sustainability partnership with volunteer community organisation Love Wavertree.

Virtuopo, which delivers large-scale virtual conferences and events for a wide range of clients including global manufacturer Knauf Insulation and law firms Weightmans, CMS and Interlaw, aims to offset its day-to-day business impact by joining forces with Love Wavertree as part of a long-term sustainability strategy.

The partnership sees Virtuopo support a programme of initiatives, which are designed to benefit the local community and help protect the environment.

As part of the collaboration, Virtuopo will back a wide range of projects from planting trees, litter picking and sponsoring a local running club to funding essential food packages and subsidised school uniforms for families in need of help.

Virtuopo also plans to support local people with employability skills, whilst also playing an active part in Love Wavertree’s mission to steer community-led climate change conversations and initiatives throughout the year.

Established in 2019 by a group of residents and business owners with a shared passion to make the local area a better place to live and work, Love Wavertree celebrates community spirit, bringing together friends, neighbours and local businesses with a variety of clubs, events and projects to help improve opportunities.

The organisation also runs the ReLoved shop and community hub on Picton Road, which offers pre-loved clothes as well as art and jewellery, created by local independent artists.

Virtuopo, which recently produced the Coca-Cola and Spotify backed Reimagine Virtual Global Summit, is the first company to agree a formal corporate sustainability partnership with Love Wavertree.
