Search for talented dancers to star in ‘Beauty and the Beast’

Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre will host a performance of the beloved classic, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ this Easter, and a search for talented dancers to appear in the show has been launched.

LHK Productions, which is behind the forthcoming production, is looking for eager performers aged 15 and upwards to take part in the opportunity and an audition will take place at the theatre on 1 February. Dancers attending the 12.30pm audition will need to be rather familiar with jazz technique and have a strong dancing ability.

Beauty and the Beast has been renowned for being one of the UK’s best loved pantomimes and one of the world’s favourite fairy tales with an enchanting Walt Disney score and animated movie to match.

The story is set in a small village in France, where a prince who contains no love or compassion for anybody but himself, is cursed by an enchantress to become a hideous beast for the rest of his life, yet the only way for the curse to be broken is if he finds true love before his time runs out and the last petal from his magical rose drops.

Performers who are given a part in the show will rehears and star alongside leading cast members including the 5ive and ‘Big Reunion’ star Ritchie Neville as well as ‘Grease is the Word’ performers Alison Crawford and Michael Chapman.
