The organisers of Liverpool’s popular Brazilica festival have given a hint of what’s in store for 2015, confirming the event will return from 17-19 July.
Liverpool Carnival Company, the team behind Brazilica, has announced that Liverpool Samba School will feature prominently in this year’s proframme, as the group celebrates its milestone 20th birthday.
Meanwhile the carnival parade will once again provide a highlight as it welcomes Samba bands from across the UK to take part, and a two-week film festival and fringe bringing music and activities to a range of venue will also accompany the main schedule.
Although organisers are keen to keep many surprises under wraps, Maeve Morris of Liverpool Carnival Company says: “Last year’s event proved a massive success so we are working tirelessly to improve and build on the successful event which people have grown to love over the last seven years. The costumes, music and overall atmosphere are key factors for the essence of the event – all of which we can guarantee festival goers in 2015 with a more compact three day event.”
