Everkool, one of the North West’s biggest air conditioning and ventilation businesses, has been shortlisted for a top accolade ahead of the national Cooling Industry Awards 2020.

The Bootle-based firm, founded by Walton-born entrepreneur Craig Greenwood (pictured), has been shortlisted in the business achievement category.

Everkool recently acquired the air conditioning and ventilation manufacturer Hargreaves and launched a new apprenticeship programme which focuses on helping young people not currently in education, employment or training.

Craig says: “To be recognised on a national level by a body as prestigious as the RAC Cooling Industry Awards, is a fantastic achievement.

“Our recent acquisition of Hargreaves has completely transformed our business, allowing us to have full control of our service, from raw material to installation and we’ve reaped the rewards since.

“We’ve also launched an apprenticeship programme which we are particularly proud of as we are providing opportunities to young people who may have otherwise been written off due to low academic attainment.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has brought with it many challenges to us as a business but the strong foundations we’ve built at Everkool will get us through it.

“This award nomination is recognition of a business that works hard for the people and companies it serves and is a good indicator of good things to come.”

Launched in 2008, Everkool represents a variety of household names across the Liverpool City Region including Merseytravel, Knowsley Council, Epic Hotels and the Iliad Group.

The RAC Cooling Industry Awards will take place on 9 December.
