A diner based on meals served to convicts on Death Row in America will open on Thursday 23 October on Hope Street in Liverpool.

The restaurant, named Death Row Dive and Diner, is inspired by the last meals served to condemned criminals on the infamous Death Row and is taking bookings for its opening weekend, when the restaurant will be open from 9.30pm. At night, the venue has a licence until 3am on weekends in its bar.

Based in 1950s America ‘dive and diners’, the new eatery has released its menu, which features dishes from a ‘No Regrets’ section that includes chicken dishes, steak, lobster and other US-themed meals. Other meals diners can choose from include a burger menu, wings and a vegetarian risotto option named ‘No blood no guts hopping John risotto’. The diner will also serve American-themed ‘shakes’ in jars and a cocktail menu during the evening.

The Death Row Dive and Diner is based at 32 Hope Street in the basement adjacent to Frederick’s. Reservations are now being taken for the opening weekend on the venue’s social media pages.
