Berkeley Shaw Real Estate has completed the acquisition of Paul James Lettings in Aintree, as it continues its drive to broaden its geographical and service offer.
The deal adds more than 150 properties to the company’s lettings book, largely in the Aintree, Old Roan and Maghull areas of the city, and follows its recent acquisition of Cheshire-based Adams Estate Agents.
Owner Paul Dixon will join Berkeley Shaw and be based at the firm’s head office on Old Haymarket in Liverpool city centre. His office on Longmoor Lane will be closed and offered for sale or lease by Berkeley Shaw, which has an existing office in nearby Maghull.
John Baybut, managing director of Berkeley Shaw, says: “We’re delighted to welcome Paul into our team. He brings additional depth to the expertise we have available and we can reciprocate by offering enhanced technology and additional services to his valued clients.
“The deal helps grow our managed portfolio, which now stands at 4,400 units.”
Paul Dixon adds: “Joining forces with Berkeley Shaw means my clients will benefit from the resources and expertise of a RICS-regulated firm, whilst being in the hands of a great team that knows this part of north Liverpool extremely well.
“It’ll be a pleasure to work alongside Rachael Doyle and her team and to be able to cover more of my clients’ property needs with the firm’s wider service offer.”
Samanthan Pickover and Benjamin Dredge of CG Professional provided legal advice to Berkeley Shaw Real Estate. DTM Legal were advisors to the vendor. Rebecca Richards of accountants Xeinadin also advised Berkeley Shaw on the acquisition.
