A dedicated Rolex store could be heading to Liverpool ONE.

Goldsmiths Jewellers, which is based on the ground floor of the shopping centre, is aiming to set up an outlet of the exclusive watchmaker next door.

The plans include only minimal alterations to the existing Goldsmiths store while the floor first floor level of unit 95A, which was formerly an UGG boots shop, would be retained.

A dedicated customer area is also envisioned for the expanded site, housing a fridge and drink making facilities.

Goldsmiths is aiming to remove and replace the vacant site’s ground floor section, refurbishing it with a mullion design and high security glazing that meet the Rolex brand’s requirements.

A statement issued to Liverpool City Counil’s planning department reads: “The existing Goldsmiths will be redecorated internally to the latest Goldsmiths concept. A new watch brand area will be installed, whilst the existing counters are to be retained and cut back to allow a new portal entrance, clad in white glass, through to the Rolex shop in shop.

“The Rolex area will be finished in Rolex materials, including carpet, wall finishes, unitary and furniture. Towards the rear of unit 95A the existing BOH will be retained and a new partition built to create a large sales floor for Rolex. The new fallow area created will house a customer experience area which consists of a fridge and drink making facilities.”
