Ecogee secures spot on ‘transformative’ £100m Torus Retrofit Framework

Eco-contractor Ecogee has been appointed to the Torus Retrofit Framework, a four-year programme aimed at transforming homes across Liverpool, St Helens, and Warrington.

The framework, valued between £75-£100 million, is led by Torus, one of the region’s largest registered housing providers, and will see six contractors deliver energy-efficient upgrades to thousands of homes.

Operating from its head office in St Helens, Ecogee specialises in retrofit work, incorporating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its operations, with an emphasis on community engagement and flexible delivery.

The retrofit works will focus on upgrading older housing stock to meet modern energy standards, helping residents reduce fuel costs and carbon footprints. Ecogee’s coverage will span Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington.

Ecogee is now working with Torus’s delivery team to mobilise the contract, with works expected to begin in the coming months. The company will also continue to engage with local communities, offering training, employment opportunities, and support services as part of its wider ESG commitments.

Gill Kelly, managing director of Ecogee, says: “We’re pleased to join the Torus Retrofit Framework, installing solar panels and improving insulation that will transform homes across Liverpool, St Helens, and Warrington. Homes will be healthier, bills lower, and lives better!”
