Liverpool property agents Keppie Massie and Berkeley Shaw form ‘powerful alliance’

A pair of well-established Liverpool property agents have formed a “powerful alliance” to broaden their base across the city region.

Keppie Massie and Berkeley Shaw have been operating in the industry for a combined total of more than 50 years across the city centre, Crosby, Formby and Southport.

The partnership will see several flagship property management clients join together under a newly-formed business called KM Real Estate.

The merger means John Baybut and Henry Prescott of Berkeley Shaw will join Stuart Keppie and Ged Massie of Keppie Massie on the senior leadership team of KM Real Estate – a RICS regulated firm.

Mr Baybut, director of Berkeley Shaw and KM Real Estate, says: “This is a great opportunity for us to bring two well-established businesses together.

“This amalgamation means we can position ourselves to be the leading independent sales, letting, and property management agent in the Liverpool City Region.”

Mr Keppie, founder of Keppie Massie, adds: “By bringing in Berkeley Shaw’s Residential Block Management portfolio into our Property Management Division, we add to our own city centre portfolio but also extend our reach outside of Liverpool city centre and into the suburban property management demographic.

“The current leadership and management team at Berkeley Shaw has brought in some superb forward-thinking ideas on how we could move this business forward and rebranding the management arm into KM Real Estate is just the start of the innovation.”

The move does not affect Keppie Massie Commercial Agency, valuation or consultancy, which will continue operating as Keppie Massie.
