Chinese New Year Activity
15 February @ Victoria Gallery & Museum
Welcome the arrival of 2018’s Year of the Dog and celebrate Chinese New Year with a crafty afternoon of activity for all the family.
Artist Juliet Staines will be on hand to lead the session from 1-4pm at the University of Liverpool attraction.
The event is free to attend and no booking is required.
What The Ladybird Heard
19 February @ Floral Pavilion Theatre
There’ll be live music, puppetry, audience participation and laughs as this stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks’ colourful farmyard adventure comes to the Liverpool City Region.
Follow the story of crafty robbers Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len as they plot to steal the farmer’s fine prize cow, while the quiet Ladybird comes up with a plan of her own in this 55-minute show.
The production is recommended for children aged three and over.
Teletubbies Live 2018
24 – 25 February @ St Helens Theatre Royal
Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po bring all the fun of their iconic TV series to the stage in their first ever theatre show, complete with brand new songs.
Look out for other familiar characters including Tubby Phone, Noo-Noo and Sun Baby as the gang invites everyone to explore their magical world of Teletubbyland.
From Hamelin to Hogwarts
11 March @ Liverpool Philharmonic Hall
With help from 80 orchestra musicians, presenter Alasdair Malloy will share tales of Hamelin and Harry Potter, ‘The Lord of the Rings’, ‘Cat in the Hat’, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and the ‘King’s New Clothes’ during this family concert.
Young attendees can also try out a variety of musical instruments from 30 minutes prior to the show at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall’s Instrument Petting Zoo.
Family Weekend
17-18 March @ Bluecoat
The city centre arts hub welcomes the return of its popular Family Weekend.
Expect two days of creative fun led by Bluecoat artists and dancers from Liverpool Improvisation Collective, as the venue hosts activities inspired by its exhibitions and the history of the iconic building.
Activities are held between 1pm and 4pm on each of the two days.
Easter Bunny’s Eggs Factor
30 March @ The Atkinson
Who will come out on top in the Easter Bunny’s singing competition? Help Marty MacDonald, Henrietta the Hen and Professor Pinky choose a song for their entries.
Join in with the fun, songs and laughter down at the Chocolate Factory in this family show, providing perfect entertainment for two to seven-year-olds.
There’ll also be a chance to meet the Easter Bunny himself afterwards and every child will receive a free Easter treat.
