Randox Health, the new sponsor of next month’s Grand National Festival, is planning a Liverpool health clinic.
The private healthcare provider, which has branches in London, Belfast and Beverly Hills, wants to open a branch in Exchange Station.
Randox has submitted change of use plans to Liverpool City Council for ‘Suite 25-31’ on the ground floor of the former railway station.
The firm, which calls itself a “global leader in healthcare diagnostics”, offers clients a fully body “MOT” to discover whether they are at risk of “thousands of illnesses” by analysing “over 150 Biomarkers” in a person’s blood.
Liverpool, along with Manchester, is listed as a ‘coming soon’ location on the company’s website.
According to a planning document included with the application, the Liverpool clinic could employ up to six full time members of staff and conduct an average of 100 customer appointments every week.
Randox was named as the new sponsor for the Grand National Festival in March 2016, signing a five-deal with the world’s most famous horse racing meeting.
