An independent North West coffee operator is set to launch its sixth Liverpool outlet.

Bean, which has branches across Liverpool and Greater Manchester, is expected to open on the ground floor of 20 Chapel Street in September.

The addition of the new café space comes as part of a £3 million refurbishment project of the building, which has seen its entrance reconfigured and extended to create space for the café within the reception area.

Once open, Bean will cater to tenants of the building, as well as passing visitors looking for an informal meeting space who will be able to access the café via Rumford Place.

Jon Whyte, director and co-founder of Bean, says: “We’re really looking forward to opening our latest venture in one of the most distinctive buildings in Liverpool’s business district and giving tenants a completely new space where they can take a break from the office or hold an informal meeting.

“We’ve already had positive feedback from current tenants at 20 Chapel Street who are excited to see Bean opening in their building.

“The new café will follow a similar industrial design to our outlets in Exchange Station and St Paul’s Square serving hot and cold drinks, fresh lunches and snacks.”

20 Chapel Street, where Liverpool FC has offices, will join five other Bean branches in the city including ones located at Exchange Station and St Paul’s Square.
