Marco Pierre Steakhouse Bar & Grill Liverpool at Hotel Indigo is to undergo extensive renovation and refurbishment.

The urban-themed makeover, which will combine industrial fixtures and fittings with brown leather chairs, exposed brickwork and muddied hues, is expected to be completed in late summer.

The new layout will also include ornamental record players and music iconography in tribute to the heritage of the restaurant’s location on Chapel Street.

A new menu devised by Marco himself will be introduced to coincide with the revamp, featuring classic dishes based around streak, as well as sharing plates, sandwiches and salads.

Mark Tasker, general manager at Hotel Indigo Liverpool, says: “These are exciting times for the restaurant, the hotel and our guests, as we set about an evolution of the Marco Pierre White brand here in Liverpool.

“Five years ago we were one of the first ‘celebrity chef restaurants’ to arrive in the city. Others have since joined us, but Marco is the godfather of modern cooking, a true original, and this renovation enables us to reestablish his rightful place at the top of Liverpool’s restaurant scene.”

Marco Pierre Steakhouse Bar & Grill Liverpool will remain open while the refurbishment is taking place.
