Invisible Wind Factory plans ‘Disneyland-inspired’ attraction

Plans for a Disneyland-inspired visitor attraction at Liverpool’s north docks are set to be revealed by the team behind the Invisible Wind Factory.

Kazimier Productions will unveil its vision for ‘Leisure Land 2017’ and other projects during a fundraising gala dinner at the Regent Road venue next month.

The banquet event will mark the beginning of a 30-day crowdfunding campaign to secure the future of the Invisible Wind Factory and a film laying out the long-term vision for the venue will be premiered on the night.

‘Leisure Land 2017’ is described as a semi-permanent attraction which draws influence from “La Machine, Eden Project and Disneyland”.

Both ‘Leisure Land 2017’ and the new proposals for the Invisible Wind Factory will tie in with Liverpool City Council’s ‘Ten Streets’ development plan, which aims to regenerate the north docks.

A statement from Kazimier Productions reads: “This 30-day crowdfundraising campaign will be launched on Friday 21 April with a grand banquet where the long-term vision for The Invisible Wind Factory will be unveiled.

“A film premiered on the night will present our manifesto for Invisible Wind Factory as a new kind of cultural destination – a theme park of the future – and how our workshops and studio space will provide an artistic village in Liverpool Council’s ‘Ten Streets’ development plan.”

Tickets for the gala dinner go on sale at 9am on 8 March.
