Liverpool’s interactive world of Mattel Play! has given a first glimpse of how some of its attractions will look ahead of its March opening.

With the weeks counting down until the entertainment centre, the first of its kind in Europe, opens its doors, the colourfully detailed plans indicate the fun that children will experience when they visit the Albert Dock site.

Based in the dock’s Grand Hall, the 13,000 sq ft facility features the worlds of Thomas & Friendsᵀᴹ, Bob the Builderᵀᴹ and Fireman Samᵀᴹ.

Graham Dentith, general manager of Mattel Play! Liverpool, says: “Each of the main characters will have their own zone with an individual feel and design, as well as being filled with activities to allow children to get hands-on and experience what it’s like to play alongside the characters they know and love.”

Heritage Great Britain PLC, which with runs iconic UK tourist attractions including Land’s End and the Snowdon Mountain Railway, is the owner and operator of Mattel Play! Liverpool.

Allan Leech, CEO of Heritage Great Britain, adds: “We’re tremendously excited to be able to release these images hot off the press which give a real flavour of how Mattel Play! Liverpool will look and feel once it is open for families to experience and enjoy.”

Tickets will be available for purchase from the Mattel Play! Liverpool website in early March.
