A fitness studio offering personal training sessions could be added to Liverpool’s Wavertree Technology Park under new plans.
Proposals to turn a vacant unit at the business park into a facility providing one-on-one training or exercise classes in small groups have been submitted to Liverpool City Council.
The studio will be a members-only club with gym equipment on site which primarily operates outside of normal working hours.
Information in the planning application suggests the club will be open between 6am and 9pm during the week and between 6am and 6pm of a weekend.
A statement issued to the council reads: “We wish to change the use of the building to a private personal training studio. The facility will be a members-only facility, for people wishing to work on a one-to-one basis with a personal trainer or within a small group of up to four people.
“Therefore we anticipate small numbers at the facility at one time. Most of our trade will be outside of normal working hours (9am-5pm) and music will remain at a respectful level as we are instructors and we wish for our members to be able to hear us clearly. Therefore there will be little disruption (if any) to nearby facilities.”
The vacant unit at Wavertree Technology Park – 2A Newton Court – was previously owned by Hansteen, which is said to have had no success marketing the space.
