A tattoo, piercing and beauty parlour has opened its doors on Liverpool’s Hope Street.
The Painted Ladies offers tattoo, piercing and beauty treatments after opening at 13 Hope Street. The business is the brainchild of three friends who aimed to deliver a female-friendly parlour for the area.
However, tattooist Holly says the business has proved popular with men as well since it opened its doors and the business is already planning its expansion.
Holly says: “We wanted to make a comfortable and accessible studio which is very untypical of what you would expect. People have responded to it and we’re hoping to add a hairdresser in a couple of weeks. In future we also want to offer bespoke party packages to customers.”
The Hope Street venue, which is located next to the Everyman, is home to a number of small and independent businesses and Holly says the address was particularly attractive in her field of work.
She says: “From a tattooist point of view I knew that it had to be 13 Hope Street. 13 is an important number in tattooing, because it’s tradition for people to get a new number 13 tattooed on Friday 13th. Hope is also a common tattoo so when we were looking for premises it had to be here!”
