Two popular Liverpool venues are set to hold charity fundraisers in an effort to raise money for good causes across the North West.

Kazimier Gardens and Circo have both announced special events scheduled to take place later this summer.

Kazimier Gardens’ ‘Garden Get Down’ will take place on 16 July in aid of the North West Cancer Research charity.

The afternoon event gets underway at 2pm and will feature DJ sets from local talent including No FaKin Djs, Pooky, Danny FitzGerald, Radio Exotica, Chris McBride, Elliot Hutchinson and a special set from event organiser Andy James.

Food will be available from the Kazimier kitchen, which will serve up lamb burgers, slow cooked pork baguettes, veggie burgers, spiced chicken and rice and halloumi and falafel flatbreads for party-goers to enjoy.

A special ‘Gin n Juice’ cocktail has been created by the Kazimier team to mark the occasion and £2 from every drink sold will be donated to chosen charity North West Cancer Research.

Andy James, organiser of the event, says: “We can’t promise that it’s going to be sunny, but we can promise an afternoon of great music, good food and brilliant atmosphere – all for a good cause.”

Fellow city centre venue Circo is set to host a special family fun day on 21 August with all proceeds going to Claire House Children’s Hospice.

Claire House Children’s Hospice offers care, support and choice to families whose children won’t live to be adults.

The fun day will begin at midday and will have an array of activities for all the family including summer games, princess makeovers from local beauty salons for children and even an eating challenge for the dads.
