Prescot bakery and coffee shop Doogle’s Donuts is set to open a new store on Lark Lane in South Liverpool.

The first Doogle’s store launched on Leyland Street, Prescot in autumn 2020, with customers regularly queueing out of the door in order to get their fix.

Made fresh every day, Doogle’s gourmet donuts include the ‘Bigscoff’, a toffee glaze dipped into a Lotus biscuit crumb with a Lotus sauce and caramel Rolo centre, and the ‘El Bueno’, a Nutella glaze with white chocolate curls and topped with a Kinder Bueno piece.

Founder Christian Anderson told YM Liverpool that whilst Doogle’s Prescot shop will always be the ‘mothership’, its limited seating meant he wanted to find somewhere bigger.

Christian added: “Lark Lane is the best, why settle for less?

“In all seriousness Lark Lane chose us. Walking along, talking about how amazing it would be to have a shop on Lark Lane and it just appeared.

“I was straight on the phone to arrange a viewing. It was quite impulsive, but when you know, you know.

“People can expect a welcoming environment with a touch of rustic rawness and class, and oh, not to mention, the best donuts and coffee in town!”

Christian is hoping to have the new shop open for takeaway from 1 May.
