Major Charles Rennie Mackintosh exhibition arrives
National Museums Liverpool’s latest landmark showcase has opened today (15 March), exploring the life and work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928) and his contemporaries.
The ticketed ‘Making the Glasgow Style’ exhibition at the Walker Art Gallery presents objects which have never been displayed outside of Scotland as it features ceramics and embroidery to stained glass, metalwork and architectural drawings.

Enjoy a special St Patrick’s screening
Catch classic 1991 film ‘The Commitments’ on Sunday (17 March) as the landmark ‘Bombed Out Church’ provides a chance to enjoy the Irish hit.
The venue will also have a fully licenced bar in place as it hosts the St Patrick’s Day celebration.
